UGA vs. UT
I must admit, I’m a little concerned about today’s game. Sure, Tennessee is still struggling to reach the level of their glory years of the 90′s. But Georgia has yet to play a complete game either. This game could be a relative blow-out either way, or a six overtime marathon.
Pass the Maalox…again.
The best thing I heard all day was from a Tennessee student last night at the Marietta High School football game. Former AD Jeff Wheeler was there with his daughter who is a senior at UT.
She said that their offense was “inCrompetent”.
I thought that was beautiful. Let’s just hope that they don’t find their Crompetence today. All I keep thinking is complete game…complete game…complete game, we can do this.
I do believe it. Do you?
What a shame. CMR says he doesn’t care what the fans say…well this fan cares what we say and pay to watch, sit in the stands and then spend way too much on beer drowning out the defeat of the week.
Let’s see who CMR throws under the bus this week!! Cox will not because CMR stuck with him, Walsh will because Fabris is one of the boys…WM…the list will go on and on. CMR will NOT face reality and make coaching changes.
Let’s hope the boosters and AD make some noise. Money talks and TV coverage pays BIG BIG $$$. We fans are small change to CMR but ABC, CBS, and TV will make him listen!!
Watch the recruitment dwindle after this season. Why? Coaching plain and simple.

Everyones back..glad to get rid of all this junk food. i really dont need to be eating this stuff anyway. Hey, I’m going next door… I think at the neighbors they are watchng rugby again…. I’ll leave this time– cause I am not watchng the Gators. I am still a HomerDawg!

Well I predicted this would happen, but not this badly! We were totally embarrased in this Tennessee game on national TV. With this same coaching staff, doing the same thing, expect a lot more of the same thing. However this will put us years behind in the SEC, it will effect our recruiting, and the media has never been high on us , now it will take forever to get any love from the media. It’s heading down in a spiral folks. Please! Coach Richt make the coaching changes now don’t wait.

Where did everyone go…..I got the widescreen ,plenty of refreshments…lot of dip . We had a packed house the first quarter. Wife left and went to the neighbors…too rowdy here…she said! Lot of college profs there..they are watching Rugby…Black Shirts! They are civilized.
Wife is back … she wants to know if there is anything else on besides the Georgia game.
Gee…. its lonely to be a HomerDawg today!

Great blog! Love the straightforward comments. Like you, I love CMR, but also like you, I believe he struggles with the Bush loyalty syndrome.
One suggestion, could you display the dates of your posts on the site? Would be helpful.

I believe the general malaise in Athens is universal. While I have greatly enjoyed the 17 wins against Final AP Poll teams the year we beat them, I have no enjoyed the 19 Losses against teams who ended up that season a Final AP Poll Top 25 team.
I do not really enjoy having a Losing Record at UGA against Final AP Poll Top 25 Teams in the Coach Richt Era of 8 and a Half Years now because of his “coaching staff.”
I also do not really enjoy having Lost 6 games to teams who were NOT RANKED in the Final AP Poll Top 25 teams Coach Richt’s “coaching staff” of college roommates, buddies, and otherwise COMPLETE STAFF with ZERO NFL experience by ANY of them.
This vols team, ranked Number 62 in the BCS Rankings today has wins over Ohio and Western Kentucky, only. They have lost to every other team on their schedule. This would be Coach Richt’s “coaching staff’s” 7th loss to such a team. He has coached here 8 years.
I like Coach Richt.
I do not believe there is anyone who does not like Coach Richt.
Coach Richt, his wife, family, buddies, college roommates, and friends are all the Salt of The Earth.
His total complete general “coaching staff” is not up to coaching the talent from the state here of Georgia who produces the 4th most NFL players. The average ranking according to every single solitary ranking service for the 10 classes’ rankings, shows Coach Richt has in fact the Number 7 Recruiting Class in the nation, on the average, every year now from 2001 to the 2010 class of recruits.
It’s not our talent.
Coach Richt, himself, finally this week for the 1st time ever, CRITICIZES his own “coaching staff.”
I am sorry; they are not getting the job done, have not the entire 8 and a half years, and have no hope of fixing it themselves.
vols’ coaching staff is a lot better than Coach Richt’s.
vols’ running game is far superior to what Coach Richt’s “coaching staff” presents after 8 and a half years. vols’ defense is profoundly advanced over what Coach Richt’s “coaching staff” presents after 8 and a half years. vols’ Special Teams are better than what Coach Richt’s “coaching staff” presents after 8 and a half years.
Clueless “coaching staff” completely and totally throughout his “coaching staff” of buddies and college roommates. And, NOW Coach Richt agrees with this. Finally this week for the first time.
17 wins 19 losses against what ended up Final AP Poll Top 25 teams.
6 inexplicable losses to those NOT ranked.
And, now we face a vols’ team who has NO HOPE of ending up a Top 25 Final AP Poll Team. And, his “coaching staff” faces LOSS Number 7 to such a team.
Do I like it that we are the only program in the nation ranked every year in the Final AP Poll Top 25 starting 1997 ?
You bet.
Do I like that we have been ranked BETTER than the vols EVERY YEAR in the Final AP Poll for now this season 8 CONSECUTIVE SEASONS and counting ?
You bet.
But, our TOTAL ABJECT lack of NFL experience on Coach Richt’s “coaching staff” includes of all 20 of them 1 man who spent 1 year coaching linebackers with Cleveland Browns of the NFL. He does NOT coach linebackers here.
And, we lose 1 game a year every year on the average against a sorry football team like the vols are this year again.
And, we lose more games than we win against teams who end up that year in the Final AP Poll Top 25.
I am ready to stop talking about it, defending them, or criticizing them.
I believe it is time to Clean House, Coach Richt. Thank you Mr. Robinson for allowing me to say this, as an alumnus, as a long-time season ticket holder, and as a walk-on myself.

Rex, this could be our make or break game. A loss to UT puts us behind the eightball and a possible finish in the SEC of 5th or 6th or worse and not counting what it does to the teams confidence. A win keeps us in the race and maybe a chance to build on things away from home.
I’ll have my tums, BP meds and a 1/5 next to me all game. Hoping I don’t need any of those, except in celebration.
