In Knoxville they want to name a water treatment plant, the Lane Kiffin Sewage Plant, no joke, so the Tennesse fans can remember him fondly, when they send contributions to the plant. Well this coming year should be very interesting, we'll be battling behind Florida, and Alabama in recruiting, but as Feldman's web site has proven with research, most 4 and 5 star recruits don't perform up to expectations, but the 2 and 3 star usually always outperform their expectations, with great coaching that is . Thats why Cincinnati, Boise State, Pittsburgh, Iowa, just to name a few are always tough. So if we don't get many 4 or 5 star recruits, let's see what Richt and new company can achieve next year! I hope a well coached team, with excellent play calling, and a team which does all the fundamentals very well, they we should be competitive in every game, with NO EMBARASSING BLOW OUTS! Good luck DAWGS!!!

Here's the basics: Feldman wonders if college football coaches have a shelf life and puts forth the assumption that after about Year 4 or 5, the chances of a coach winning a national title decrease significantly. Recent history gives the theory a healthy dose of evidence.

* 2009 Florida: Urban Meyer's 4th year
* 2008 LSU: Les Miles' 3rd year
* 2007 Florida: Meyer's 2nd year
* 2006 Texas: Mack Brown's 8th year
* 2005 USC: Pete Carroll's 4th year
* 2004 LSU: Nick Saban's 4th year
* 2003 Ohio State: Jim Tressel's 2nd year
* 2002 Miami: Larry Coker's 1st year
* 2001 Oklahoma: Bob Stoops' 2nd year
* 2000 FSU: Bobby Bowden's 24th year
* 1999 Tennessee: Phil Fulmer's 7th year

Rex:
Any chance Andy McCollum is still in the running for that OLB spot.
He would surely fortify the recruiting. "Lets Go Peay" !

LOL, great perspective.

I, too, am very concerned about young Dooley. They are going to give him rope and he is going to make the most of it.
