Roethlisberger at Scene of the Slime
It remains to be seen if Ben Roethlisberger is guilty of sexual assault, but one verdict is in. He’s a schmuck. Sure he’s only 28, but to resort to hanging out in a small college town such as Milledgeville and Georgia College with 18-21 year old GIRLS is unseemly. Now he has admitted to sexual “contact” with the girl in question.
I talked to my youngest son, who is a senior at GCSU and usually goes to Capital City, the “scene of the slime”. He usually goes on Thursdays, but didn’t go last week. He has plenty of friends that did though. What he described to me was like any scene from your favorite movie depicting a King sending out his guards to bring in an endless procession of young maidens. Once in the inner sanctum(VIP Room), he was able to check them out and grab some ass. Not just one, but many. Schmuck.
Schmuck is most often used in American English as a pejorative or insult, meaning an obnoxious or contemptible person; one who is stupid, foolish, or detestable.
Now, their is no law against being a schmuck, but Ben has put himself in a bad situation for a second time and has created the perception that he has issues with women. At the very least he has proven that he sees them as playthings here to do his bidding. It may come out that it’s much worse than that.
Ben in better times. Not last week.
Am I missing something? Am I just an old fart? What say you?

He may be worth 13.2 million a year but if he acts like trash towards these young girls….well all the money in the world can’t change what he is….Trash is Trash and Big Ben is trash. Yeah I’m an old fart but I can remember when I was in my late twenties and some guys who went after the 18 and 19 year old girls. I was disgusted then as I am now and none of them approached with the same boorish behavior as “Bennie”. What a Schmuck!

Old fart? Hmm…maybe you just have class, Rex and wouldn’t treat women (or girls) like pieces of…meat. I’ll bet he pleads not guilty by mental defect (history of brain injury). It might just work.

You may be an old fart (or not), but you are also a parent, a coach, and a person looking out for the current and long term integrity of the organizations represented by athletes. Back in your day, what kind of consequences would deter you from this kind of behavior? Are those consequences no longer in place, or do SOME people think they are excused from these consequences? Athletes, like any other humans, must be held accountable for their actions and the reputation that their behavior brings to the organizations they represent. Oh, but we’re not supposed to judge each other…that’s a sin, right?

To be honest, I was a late bloomer to the “party”, but something like last Thursday night would never have of occurred to me. Of course. I never made $13.2 million a year as a 28 year old. Hey, do you still want me to work with your boys(kicking)?

I also have a child who is a senior at GCSU who fortunately was not at Capital City last Thursday. From what i have heard from her slime to nice of a word for him. He gives football players a bad name.

Some famous men use their fame for good and some use it for tail. Ben is right there with Tiger, Bill C etc. Ben is single but that is only an accident of timing. Any women who marries Ben is just asking to be Tigered.

There’s a movie out now titled “She’s Out of My League”. It may as well be about this situation. It works both ways. If you’re a 28 year old male, rich, famous, and single, college girls are out of your league. It’s like if Michael Jordan dunked on an old lady. He would look like a complete idiot.
