Man, has recruiting season ever been so crazy – not much fun to follow anymore & I used to love it. De-commit? What the hell is that supposed to mean? Make up yo’ mind before you commit – it’s that simple. I want guys who bleed red and black and have always dreamed of being Dawgs!

Well said Rex. I find that I am less caught up in signing day and the recruitment process now that kids involved seem to be so fickle and full of themselves. I find the whole picking up one cap only to toss it down and pick up another obnoxious at best. Wonder why these kids beat their chests and act like they just won the super bowl after scoring against Podunk U.? It’s because every word they utter (if it can be understood) has been hung on and over analyzed since the time they entered high school. I don’t want to be an enabler, so not worrying about, or focusing too intently on, this part of the process works for me.

…and another Vol Coach(strength and conditioning) departs for USC. That can’t help their recruiting. I wonder if there are some NCAA investigations on the way for the Vols and USC. Kiffen will have an unusual distinction of leaving a program and joining a program under investigation.

I agree Rex it is a big decision for a kid even one who doesn’t play sports to decide where to go to college. I hope we get kids who are committed to give it there all. If they take a while to decide I think that means that once they do decide we get their best. I can’t wait for next season I know it is going to be a great year to be a DAWG.

The Dawgvent would have NEVER have survived Herschel’s recruiting, indecision, etc…..never. I rememember it from back in the day when we were both there. It was a circus.
