My name isn’t as odd as Orangejello or Le-a, but I have had to put up with having my name corrected for me my whole life. My name is Jefferson Bryan, and as most of you can see everyone’s first reaction is that my name has been put in the wrong order. where as Bryan should be my first name and Jefferson my last. I have gotten used to it, but as a kid I was treated like an idiot by adults until they figured out they were the dumb asses and I would just smile contently

Read a story about the girl with the longest name in the world. Her parents named her Tula-Does-The-Hula-From-Hawaii (or something close to that). She sued to have it legally changed.

Rex, I feel your pain man. Growing up with the name “Kit Kitchens” isn’t all that easy, especially since “Kit” isn’t short for anything.

Plus, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been referenced as the car from Knight Rider, or the girl from “A League of Their Own.” And let’s not even talk about the American Girl (or Doll or something like that) series where one of the dolls is named Kitt Kittridge.

Thank God I have a sense of humor or I’d have gone postal years ago.

okay, the worst one I’ve ever seen (and as a NICU nurse I’ve seen a few) is Serenity Divine. Wouldn’t be that awful, but the baby was a BOY! Either the mom wanted him to grow up to be a drag queen or really wanted him to get lots of beatings as a little kid.

I knew a real estate agent by the name of Ben Dover. He could have done something about that though…I am kind of partial to Duh-Rick but that is only because my husband’s name is Rik and it reminds me of conversations I have with him.

Named my two sons Thomas Jefferson and Jon-Paul respectively. With a last name like Cojones(Spanish pronunciation: Kuh hone ness) I remind them as adults that I could have named them Apaira(Uh pear uh) and Harry.
